CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- The Boston College women's ice hockey team lost 7-0 to the tenth-ranked Wisconsin on Saturday at Kelley Rink. The visitors took control of the game for the start, holding the puck in their offensive zone throughout the first period. VanTuyl, starting in her first game of the season, held her own in net. the Badgers opened the scoring at the 5:46 mark, when sophomore forward Megan Hunter fired a shot through the five-hole of the Eagle net minder and into the back of the net. The first period ended with the Badgers holding a 16-4 edge in shots and a two-goal advantage on the scoreboard.
The second period saw much of the same, as Wisconsin held most of the territorial advantage. She would register her third goal of the match as the period was winding down, tipping a Molly Engstrom shot along the ice, and into the net.
In the third period, Wisconsin continued to outplay the Eagles and Hunter would finish off her afternoon with her fourth goal. She skated past two defenders and fired the puck into the roof of the net to give the Badgers a 5-0 lead at the 3:20 mark.
Wisconsin would add two late goals, one by Kathryn Greaves and one by Steph Boeckmann to finish off the scoring.
