Men's Cross Country Squad Places Third at BC Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Colin Wolfe led the men's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Boston College Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday afternoon as he finished with a time 25:34.50, which was good enough for 12th place.
Sophomore Byron Gartrell and junior Shawn Wallace also placed in the top 20 for the Eagles as they finished in 18th and 19th place, respectively. Gartrell finished with a time of 25:44.70, which just edged out Wallace, who finished with a time of 25:49.00.
Senior Nathan Buttrick, junior Brian Mahoney and senior Steve Lester went 21st, 22nd and 23rd in the meet. The three runners finished within seven seconds of each other.
The Boston College men's cross country team is back in action on Saturday, September 29, when it runs at the Iona College Meet of Champions in Bronx, N.Y.
