Sao Luis, Brazil - Former Eagle women's basketball standout Cal Bouchard (Aurora, Ontario) and her Canadian Senior Women's teammates fell in their last game of the 2001 Confederation of Pan American Basketball Associations (COPABA ) Tournament in Sao Luis, Brazil. They lost to Argentina (51-50) and, as a result, failed to finish in the top three. As a result of their efforts during this tournament, Brazil, Cuba, and Argentina will advance to the 2002 World Championships, to be held in China.
Bouchard collected eight points in her team's 70-63 loss to Cuba. A day later, the former All-BIG EAST selection was held to just two points in a 69-58 loss to the home Brazilian squad.
