Volleyball Chosen Ninth In BIG EAST Poll

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team was chosen ninth in the 2001 BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll, released by the league today. Defending league champion Notre Dame was selected first in the 13-team league.
Last season, the Eagles completed the best league season in school history earning four wins for an eighth-place finish. Overall, the team concluded the season with a 13-17 record.
The 2001 squad kicks off the season on Friday, Aug. 31 against Eastern Washington at 8 p.m. in the Maine Tournament.
