
ABC Sports To Televise BC-West Virginia Football

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College vs. West Virginia football game on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, will be televised on a regional basis by ABC Sports with a 12:00 p.m. kickoff at Alumni Stadium.
The game will be part of a college football tripleheader on ABC, the new national network home of BIG EAST football, and the other game in that timeslot will be the North Carolina vs. Maryland matchup. Exact regional distribution will be announced at a later date.
Three of Boston College's first four games will be televised as ABC will handle the West Virginia game, Fox Sports Net will televise the Boston College at Stanford game on Sept. 8 at 10 p.m. Eastern time (7:00 p.m. Pacific) and the Army at BC game on Sept. 29 will be at 12:00 p.m. with ESPN Regional as the television entity (seen locally in the Boston area on WCVB-TV Channel 5).
