Three Eagles Selected In 2001 NHL Entry Draft

Boston College forward Chuck Kobasew (Osoyoos, B.C.) was selected by the Calgary Flames with the 14th overall choice in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. In addition, forward Ben Eaves was taken by the Pittsburgh Penguins with the last pick in the fourth round (131st overall) and incoming freshman defenseman Andrew Alberts was chosen by the Boston Bruins in the middle of the sixth round (179th overall).
The draft was held in Sunrise, Fla.
Both Kobasew and Eaves enjoyed outstanding freshman seasons at Boston College in 2000-01. Their biographical information follows:
