Women's Track Competes At New Englands.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Boston College women's track and field team competed in the two day New England Championships at Weston Field, on the campus of Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12. The Eagles took 10th place out of 32 Division I and III teams.
Tied for 12th, Zoey O'Sullivan ran a 12.59 in the 100-meter dash. In the same event, Nikki Pogue took 19th with a time of 12.92. In the 200-meter dash, O'Sullivan took ninth with a 25.72 and Pogue took 13th with a 25.93. Taking back-to-back finishes in the 400-meter dash, Jen Vendetti took third (57.56) and Lauren Claudia took fourth (57.59).
Sharon Van Tuyl ran a 4:41.47 in the 1,500-meters, taking sixth. In the 3,000-meter run, Danielle Jelley also finished sixth with a time of 10:08.88.
Taking 14th in 100 low hurdles, Kate Sullivan tan a 15.87. In the 400 low hurdles, Erin Mahoney ran a 1:05.80, good for 12th place. Katina McCrory took 10th place in the long jump, jumping 5.07 meters. In the triple jump, Allison Castaldi jumped 10.57 meters for 11th place.
Winning the heptathlon, Christina Regan collected 4425 points.
In the 4x100 relay, Bosotn College finished sixth with a time of 48.66. Also placing sixth, the 4x400 relay ran a 3:54.65.
The Boston College's women's track and field will next compete at the ECAC Championship beginning on Friday, May 18 at Princeton.
