Men's Golf Takes First Place At State Championships

Boston College's men's golf team claimed first place honors at the Championships with a stroke count of 320. Tying for second place were teams from Babson College, Salem State College and Williams College, all with a 320 stroke tally. Individually, Boston College's own Sean McReynolds took first place with a 74 (38-36). McReynolds has been the Eagle's top performer in all their spring tournaments thus far. Western New England College's Kevin Bennison took second place with a 75 (38-37) while Babson's Jared Meyers and UMass- Dartmouth's Joey Lopes tied for third place with a one-round total of 76.
Also competing for the Eagles was Chris Sanossian, who tied for fifth place with a 77 (38-39). Stefan Rogalski and Josh Folkerth both shot 78's to tie for 7th place while sophomore Bob Gregory finished with a 90 (41-49) on the day.
Following their strong performance at the State Championships, the Eagles will participate next in the Northeast Division I Championships. The event will be held from April 24-25, 2001. Please refer to www.bceagles.com for further updates concerning Boston College's golf teams.
