#58 Women's Tennis Splits Weekend Matches

HANOVER, N.H. - Boston College women's tennis lost on Saturday, Mar. 31 to Yale, 4-3, but rebounded on Sunday, April 1, with a 4-3 victory over Dartmouth.
The Eagles started out their match on Saturday by earning the doubles point winning two out of three matches. Yet, in singles the Eagles were only able to secure two points on victories by senior co-captain Cynthia Tow and sophomore Anisha Fernando, which made the final score 4-3 in favor of Yale.
On Sunday the tables were turned, but on a different Ivy. Again, the Eagles won the doubles point by taking two of three matches in the early going. However, this time the Eagles split the six singles matches to capture three points and complete a 4-3 victory over Dartmouth. Tow again led the way with another victory in singles, also winning were two freshman Allison Ashley and Emily Hellberg.
The women's tennis team is currently 9-6 in dual matches and 4-1 in BIG EAST play. The women's tennis team will next see action against Providence on Saturday, April 7, at 10:00 a.m. in Chestnut Hill.
