Hockey Earns East Region's Number One Seed

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College earned the number one seed in the East Region in the 2001 NCAA Div. I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. The Eagles earned a first-round bye and will play the winner of the Maine/Minnesota first round contest on Saturday, Mar. 24 in Worcester, Mass.

A game time will be announced later this week.

Boston College won the HOCKEY EAST Tournament on Mar. 17 and received the league's automatic bid the national tournament. The Eagles are 30-8-2 this season.
