CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College men's tennis team recorded a resounding victory over the Beavers from MIT with a score of 7-0, Thursday, March 15, at the Flynn Complex.
The Eagles won all six singles matches and all three doubles matches to handily secure a victory. Senior Jason Cowett, junior Marc Lucero, and freshmen Justin Slattery, Brad Anderson, Ross Pytko, and Paul Colahan earned points for their singles victories Thursday afternoon.
On the doubles side the Eagles saw similar success. The teams of senior Matt Stutz/Anderson, junior Tim Brennan/Colahan, and Slattery/Cowett won their doubles matches to secure the seventh point for the Eagles shutout victory. This is the fifth time the Eagles have shutout an opponent this season.
The Eagles improve to a dual match record of 7-8 and 1-0 in the BIG EAST and will next see action at home on Saturday, March 24, at 12:00 p.m. against the University of Rhode Island.
