MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Sophomore forward Ben Eaves (Faribault, Minn.) was chosen as the U.S. College Hockey On-line Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 20, according to an announcement by the Web site. In two Boson College wins last week, Eaves recorded five points on three goals and two assists.
On Wednesday, Nov. 14, Eaves netted one goal and one assist as the Eagles defeated Providence, 4-1. On Saturday, Nov. 17, Eaves collected two goals - including the game winner - and added an assist as BC defeated fourth-ranked Boston University, 3-1. Eaves factored in all three goals that evening as the Eagles pushed their winning streak to four games and handed the Terriers their first loss of the season.
Each week, USCHO.com recognizes the top offensive and defensive performances among Division I men's and women's players. Eaves was honored this week with Michigan State's Ryan Miller, who was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Week.
Boston College is currently 6-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 in HOCKEY EAST play. The team will next host Harvard on Friday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. at Kelley Rink.
