CHESTNUT HILL, Mass - Sophomore forward Tony Voce (Philadelphia, Pa.) earned HOCKEY EAST Player of the Week honors on Oct. 8 after scoring a career-high five points - three goals and two assists - in the Eagles' 5-1 win over Vermont in the season opener on Oct. 6 in Burlington, Vt.
Voce's three goals marked his first career hat trick. Two of his goals came on the power play and both of his assists came on power-play tallies.
As a freshman last season, Voce was a three-time HOCKEY EAST Rookie of the Week. He was also selected to the All-Tournament Team at the league's championship in March.
Boston College continues it season on Friday, Oct. 12 when the team travels to Anchorage, Alaska to participate in the Nye Frontier Classic, hosted by the University of Alaska-Anchorage. The Eagles will face Denver on Friday in a 9 p.m. EDT game, before facing Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday in a 11 p.m. EDT contest.
