Donovan Leads Women's Cross Country at New England's

BOSTON, Mass. - With the majority of the Boston College women's cross country team missing because of the NCAA Pre-Championship meet on Saturday in Greenville, S.C., the Eagles finished in 20th place at the New England Championships on Friday afternoon at Franklin Park.
Sophomore Jennifer Donovan led the Eagles with a 13th-place finish. She finished the race with a time of 18:21, which was a little less than a minute behind race-winner Roisin McGettigan of Providence College.
Freshmen Melissa Sherman and Kellie Faircloth were the only other runners for Boston College to finish in the top 100. Sherman finished the race with a time of 19:32, while Faircloth turned in a time of 19:35.
Other runners for the Eagles in the race were sophomore Adrienne Dunn (153rd) and junior Meghan Andrade (182nd).
Following tomorrow's race in Greenville, S.C., the entire women's cross country team will be back in action on Friday, October 26, at the BIG EAST Championship in Bronx, N.Y. at Van Cortland Park.
