Bell Honored By BIG EAST

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Boston College sophomore guard Troy Bell (Minneapolis, Minn.) was named the BIG EAST co-player-of-the-week on Monday for his performance in the BC wins over Connecticut and Miami. Bell shared the award with Syracuse junior forward Damone Brown.
Bell scored 27 points and registered four assists in Boston College's 85-68 win over Connecticut last Wednesday night in the BIG EAST opener for both teams. At the time, the Huskies were ranked No. 10 in the country.
On Sunday at Miami, Bell registered 19 points and had six rebounds as the Eagles defeated the Hurricanes by a 73-72 count.
Boston College now has an 11-0 record and is 2-0 in the BIG EAST. The Eagles are ranked 24th in the latest Associated Press poll.
