Volleyball Drops Home Opener To New Hampshire 3-0

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team dropped its home opener tonight to the University of New Hampshire, losing in straight games, 3-0, in a non-conference match.
New Hampshire took the first two games by identical 15-8 scores, but the Eagles gave the Wildcats a fight in the third game before succumbing, 15-12. Jillian Ross had 10 kills and 13 digs while Stacy Barnett had 34 assists to lead the Wildcats, whose record improved to 2-2 overall.
Sophomore Lauren Schwer (Naperville, Ill.) had eight kills and senior Kyleen Charlton (Tampa, Fla.) had 15 assists for the Eagles, now 1-3 overall.
Boston College's next match will be at home on Friday, when they take on Purdue at 7 p.m. in their first match of the New England Challenge.
