Eagles Volleyball Falls To Northeastern 3-0

BOSTON, Mass. - Boston College fell to Northeastern tonight in a non-conference volleyball match at Cabot Gym. Junior Brooke Shull (San Diego, Calif) and sophomore Lauren Schwer (Naperville, Ill.) each recorded double-doubles in the loss.
The Eagles (3-10 overall) held a 6-1 lead in the match's first game, but the Huskies (4-10 overall) battled back to tie the score at 11-11. After exchanging points and side-outs, Northeastern was finally able to take the frame 15-13. Northeastern took the second and third sets by identical 15-9 margins.
Shull ended the evening tied for the match high in kills with 15, while adding 11 defensive digs to her totals. Schwer finished with a match-high 18 digs to go with her 13 kills. Lindsay Wagner led the Huskies with 15 kills.
The Eagles will next see action this friday night, when they open their BIG EAST schedule against West Virginia at BC's Power Gym at 7p.m. Admission is free.
