Women's Golf Finishes Seventh At Yale Invitational

NEW HAVEN, CONN., - The Lady Eagles hit the links this past weekend at The Yale University Golf Course, competing in the Yale University Invitational. The New Haven, Conn. site saw 17 teams complete two rounds of play. Overall, the Eagles placed 7th with a score of 674 (335-339). Stellar sophomore Roxanne Somboonsiri finished 9th overall in individual competition to lead the Eagles with a 157 (75-82). Meghan Donoghue finished tied for 31st with a 173. Jennifer Mitchell, Channing Lovejoy, and Suzanne Carrazza also competed, finishing with a 174, 177, and 180,respectively.
Southern Methodist University was the top finisher overall, shooting a team total of 624 (308-316). They had five golfers competing. Hartford's Kristy Finlayson finished on top in individual competition with a two-day total of 144 (72-72).
On Saturday, September 30, Boston College will compete at the Mount Holyoke Invitational in South Hadley, Mass. This tournament will consist of two rounds of play.
