Eagles Volleyball Falls To UNH 3-1

DURHAM, NH - The Boston College volleyball team fell to the University of New Hampshire, 3-1, on Wednesday evening. The game scores were 15-8, 10-15, 15-8, 15-8.
Eagles sophomore Lauren Schwer (Naperville, Ill.) tallied a match-high 22 kills and added nine digs. Senior setter Kyleen Charlton (Tampa, Fla.) kept BC in the match with a team-high 52 assists and 16 digs. Sophomore Rachel Bach (Jacksonville, Fla.) and freshman Jeana Boyle (Boca Raton, Fla.) posted 15 and 16 kills, respectively, for the Eagles.
With the loss, the Eagles drop to 1-8, while UNH improves to 4-4 overall on the season.
The Wildcats received strong performances from Stacy Barnett with a match-high 57 assists, and Jillian Ross with 17 kills and 11 digs.
The Eagles will return home for a pair of matches on Saturday, Sept. 16, when they take on Canisius and Toledo in Eagle Challenge 2000. Game times are 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.
