Please take a look at a preliminary list of "Conte Forum's Fantastic Finishes". These 15 games -- listed in reverse chronological order -- were selected as contests that were decided in the final seconds and/or that featured several lead changes in the closing minutes.
As we attempt to refine the list, we'd welcome your feedback. Do you agree with the games that have been selected? What games don't belong -- and what games do you believe should be on the list?
Once your feedback is considered and a "final" list generated, we'll then conduct a second step -- in which you can vote for your favorites. In the end, we'll post a list that ranks the games according to your votes.
Fifteen Fantastic Finishes

The Eagles' winning bid was thwarted, however, when Braswell nailed a three-point field goal with two seconds remaining. BC did not get off a last-second shot attempt.
Feb. 20, 1999 - Pittsburgh 67, Boston College 66: After Jonathan Beerbohm sank two free throws with 32 seconds left to give BC a 66-63 advantage, Pittsburgh responded with the final four points of the game to gain the victory. Vonteego Cummings trimmed the BC margin to one point with two free throws with 28 seconds remaining, and Stephen Flores' layup with five seconds left put the Panthers on top. A last-second three-pointer by Kenny Walls missed the mark.
Nov. 18, 1998 - Harvard 62, Boston College 61: Harvard's Mike Beam sank a three-point field goal as time expired to cap the Crimson's come-from-behind effort. BC led by four points with :28 to play, but converted just 1-of-2 free throws in the final seconds while Harvard hit two three-pointers.
Dec. 23, 1997 - Boston College 64, Northwestern 63: Duane Woodward's basket as time expired lifted the Eagles to a one-point victory. Woodward's hoop came after he grabbed the rebound of a missed three-point attempt by BC freshman Javier Rodriguez. Woodward shot the ball in midair to beat the final horn. The visiting Wildcats tied the game at 61-61 on Evan Eschmeyer's jumper with 1:00 remaining. Woodward sank 1-of-2 free throws with 28 seconds to play to give the Eagles the advantage, before Eschmeyer answered with another jumper with :09 on the clock to set the stage for Woodward's heroics. The start of the game was delayed because of a heavy snowstorm.
March 3, 1996 - Boston College 73, Rutgers 72: Scoonie Penn's long-distance "runner" swished through the net as time expired to give BC a one-point win in the regular-season finale. Penn's shot should have been credited as a three-pointer, but all eyes were focused on the hoop and no one ever recognized that both feet were behind the 19-foot, 9-inch stripe. BC trailed by three points with 44 seconds left, before Antonio Granger nailed a three-pointer to even the score at 71-71. Rutgers' Damon Santiago sank 1-of-2 free throws with :03 on the clock to give the Scarlet Knights a momentary edge.

Rhode Island scored the final points of regulation and the first overtime to force a second extra session. In regulation, Jeff Kent hit a 14-foot jumper with :39 remaining to knot the score at 64-64. BC had a chance to gain the win, but Howard Eisley missed two free throws with 11 seconds to play. In the first overtime, the lead changed hands five times, before URI's Kyle Ivey-Jones evened the score at 72-72 with 13.6 seconds left. BC missed three free throws in the first overtime. In the second overtime, there were three lead changes, before Malcolm Huckaby registered a three-point field goal to give BC an 80-78 lead with :54 left. URI scored the final basket to end the Eagles' season.

Mourning sank two free throws with 30.3 seconds remaining, forcing BC's Gerrod Abram to sink a three-pointer with :13 remaining to force the first overtime. BC trailed 78-74 in the overtime session, before Huckaby scored five straight points to give BC the lead. Hinton, though, missed a fifth free throw attempt, and the Wildcats answered with a field goal and two free throws to take a two-point edge. Doug Able then missed two potentially game-tying free throws for the Eagles. After Lance Miller extended 'Nova's lead to three points, Lior Arditti's layup brought BC back to within one at 66-65. Miller then missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with six seconds to play, but BC could not score at the other end.
