
BC Men's Golf Takes Ninth At BIG EAST Championship

NOTRE DAME, IN - The Boston College men's golf team finished ninth at the BIG EAST Championship hosted by Notre Dame at the Warren Golf Course on April 29-30. Seton Hall won its first BIG EAST title with a two-day score of 580 (290, 290) on the par-71 course. The Eagles finished with a two-day score of 637 (309-328).
Seton Hall's Eugene Smith won the individual title with a one-under par 141 (69-72). Smith topped Daniel Lee of Rutgers by one stroke as Lee shot a BIG EAST Championship record 66 in the final round to finish at 142 (76-66). Lee shot seven birdies over the final 18 to break the previous championship mark of 69, most recently matched by Smith in Saturday's opening round. Rutgers finished second at 591 (302-289) and Notre Dame edged out St. John's for third place with a 594 (304-290). The Red Storm finished with a 597 (297-300). Patrick Dunn led Boston College and tied for 20th place with a score of 154 (76-78).
