Ludmil "Udo" Hadjisotirov, a 6-foot-2-inch guard who played at the Winchendon (Mass.) School, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Boston College, according to an announcement by Boston College head coach Al Skinner. Hadjisotirov will enroll at BC in September 2000 and begin play during the 2000-2001 season.
Hadjisotirov, who hails from Bulgaria, chose Boston College after attracting the attention of many coaches. In February, he captured All-Tournament honors at the National Prep School Invitational. He netted 23 points in a win over Tabor Academy, before scoring 24 points in a loss to eventual champ Crispus Attucks in the semifinal round.
Hadjisotirov is the second recruit to sign with the Eagles. Andrew Bryant, a 6-foot-7-inch, 235-pound forward from Denison (Texas) High School, inked a national letter of intent on April 12.
Boston College will return 10 lettermen from the 1999-2000 team that finished with an 11-19 record (3-13 BIG EAST).
