Stepherson Tears Anterior Cruciate Ligament

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's basketball player Brianne Stepherson suffered an isolated tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (right knee) during a pickup basketball game this past week.
Stepherson will undergo arthroscopic surgery on April 14 and is expected to undergo rehabilitation for approximately six months.
The 5-8 guard from Middleton, Mass., averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game as a sophomore this past season. The Eagles finished the season with a 26-9 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before losing a 74-70 game to Virginia.
