Eagles Fall To Monmouth, 10-5

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - The women's lacrosse team opened its game with three goals and an early lead, but fell to Monmouth University, 10-5, in West Long Branch, NJ.
Sophomore Lauren Miller scored her 10th goal of the season to get the Eagles on the scoreboard just 4:30 into the game. Senior Susan Pitt added an assist on the goal.
Monmouth notched their first goal and the Eagles answered on junior Emily Ryan's first of three goals to regain the lead. The Hawks leveled the score again before Pitt gave the Eagles a 3-2 lead.
Monmouth then scored seven unanswered goal to hold a 9-2 advantage. Ryan scored her final two goals with 10:00 and 4:00 remaining to bring the final margin of victory to five for Monmouth.
Junior goalkeeper Melissa Cole stopped 19 shots in the loss.
Boston College fell to 3-4 on the season, while Monmouth moved to 4-0.
The Eagles will next face Yale at home in Alumni Stadium on April 5 at 3:30 p.m.
