March 11, 2000 - The Boston College men's lacrosse team fell to crosstown rival Harvard, 19-2, in a game played in driving winds and rain. The weather did not dampen the spirits of the Crimson, however, as they opened their new synthetic turf facility, Jordan Field, in style.
Juniors Taylor Whitman (Oldwick, N.J.) and Michael Adair (New Canaan, CT) were the only Eagles to light the scoreboard.
Harvard fired 50 shots to BC's 26. Senior captain Tom Gallagher (Point Lookout, NY) and sophomore James Karambay (Newington, CT) were under constant pressure in net.
The Eagles hope to get back in the win column on March 22 against Marist at Alumni Stadium. The game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
