BOSTON (AP) - Jamie Cournoyer scored 33 points, the most by a Big East women's player this season, going 13-for-16 from the field as No. 19 Boston College beat Seton Hall 78-58 Monday.
Cournoyer topped the 32 points by Alicia Ratay and Ruth Riley, both of Notre Dame.
Cournoyer, a 6-foot-3-inch junior center, went 7-for-8 from the line and grabbed eight rebounds.
Cal Bouchard had 13 points and Alissa Murphy 10 for the Eagles (19-5, 8-2). Boston College, coming off a 72-59 loss at 5 Notre Dame, has won 15 of its last 17.
Arminda Moreno had 21 points for Seton Hall (7-12, 1-8) and Starr Fuller 13. The Pirates have lost eight of nine.
The game originally was scheduled for Jan. 19, but was postponed due to a dormitory fire at Seton Hall that killed three students.
Boston College, which never trailed, led 37-23 at halftime, breaking open the game with a 13-4 run over a 3:42 span midway through the first half.
In the second half, Cournoyer scored seven of BC's first 11 points. She scored eight straight points later in the half as the Eagles pushed to their lead to 74-51 with 2 1/2 minutes left.
