ORONO, Maine - The Boston College women's ice hockey team fell to Maine Saturday night, 6-0, in an ECAC contest in Orono. The Eagles fall to 1-2-0 overall and 0-2-0 in ECAC play with the loss.
The Black Bears, who improve to 3-0-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the ECAC, scored four goals in the game's first period to seal the contest early. Jarin Sjorgen had two goals and two assists to lead Maine.
The Eagles will travel to the University of New Hampshire Sunday afternoon to wrap up their weekend's northern ECAC trek. Game time is 3 p.m.
