Volleyball Falls To Notre Dame 3-0

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Boston College volleyball team fell to Notre Dame tonight, 3-0, dropping their record to 11-16 overall and 3-7 in BIG EAST play. The Eagles' offense was led by sophomore outside hitter Lauren Schwer, who recorded a team-high nine kills in the loss.
The Irish, who improve to 19-5 overall and remain undefeated in BIG EAST play at 9-0, took control of game one early and captured the frame 15-6. Notre Dame carried their momentum into the second set, defeating the Eagles by a 15-2 mark, and took game three from BC 15-7. Christi Girton led the Irish's offense with 11 kills.
The Eagles must now travel to Syracuse, for a BIG EAST match against the Orangewomen Sunday afternoon. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
