Boston College Grapplers Take Eighth Place At Kutztown

Kutztown, Penn. - Boston College Wrestling participated in the Kutztown University Invitational today, finishing in eighth place out of ten teams. The Eagles compiled 20 team points while Montclair State claimed first place with 83 points.
Performing especially well for Boston College was senior Dave DeAngelo who won two and lost one bout today. His one loss came at the hands of Princeton's Milo Adams, who defeated DeAngelo 10-6. This loss placed DeAngelo in the consolation brackets for the 149 pound weight class where he went 2-0 with victories over J. Humphries (Princeton) and Justin Rose. Co-captain Steve Pregiato went 1-0 on the day before being defeated by Gloucestor County's Manny Aguilera in the first place bout of the 141 pound weight class. The final tally for this bout was 7-4 in favor of Aguilera. Finally, Dan Degan was awarded a fall against Montclair State's Mark Leh at 1:25. His one loss on the day was to Montlcair State's Bill Christie (5-2).
Boston College has yet to participate in a dual meet this year. The Eagles' overall and ECWA records stand at 0-0. The Eagles will participate next in the Wilkes Tournament and Sunshine Open December 27-28.
