CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore forward Uka Agbai scored 17 points and classmate Troy Bell tallied 13 points and six assists to lead Boston College to an 81-52 non-league win over Brown before a crowd of 2,089 fans at Conte Forum.
Senior Kenny Harley registered his second double-double in as many games for the host Eagles. Harley recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Boston College led 21-14 with 7:34 remaining in the first half, before closing the half with a 24-3 run to take a commanding 45-17 lead at halftime. The Eagles shot 58.3 percent from the field (14-for-24) in the first 20 minutes. Agbai notched 13 points before the intermission.
BC increased its advantage to as many as 40 points twice in the second half, before Brown used a 15-0 run to narrow the margin to 70-45 with 4:11 to play.
Brown sophomore Earl Hunt led all scorers with 18 points. Hunt also led the Bears with eight rebounds.
Game Notes: Junior forward Brian Ross and freshman guard Ludmil Hadjisotirov both made their 2000-01 debuts against Brown. Ross finished with five points and four rebounds in 16 minutes. Hadjisotirov tallied five points and two assists in 14 minutes ... Bell was 6-for-6 from the foul line, bringing his season total to 18-for-20 (.900).
