Women's Basketball Wins Second Exhibition

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team defeated EOS Malbas Sweden 88-64 in their second and last exhibition game of the season, today in Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Leading the Eagles with 22 points, freshman Amber Jacobs also collected five rebounds. BIG EAST preseason second-team honoree, junior Becky Gottstein had a team high of 14 rebounds. After sitting out most of the last game with a sprained ankle, Gottstein netted 16 points in the game.
Freshman Janelle McManus, in only her second game as an Eagle, came off the bench to added 19 points to her team's victory.
EOS was led by Anette Percy with 18 points. Tine Friel led her team in rebounding with six.
Boston College women's basketball team will begin their regular season when they compete in the Chevrolet Classic, hosted by Michigan State, on Friday Nov. 17 against Tennessee Tech at 9 p.m. The winner of the game will face the winner of the MSU/Arkansas State match-up in the championship game on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. The consolation game will be played at 5 p.m.
