Eagles Volleyball Sweeps Siena

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Chestnut Hill, Mass- The Boston College volleyball team defeated Siena 3-0 tonight in a non-conference match that lasted all of 54 minutes. Sophomore opposite Rachel Bach and junior outside hitter Brooke Shull led the team offensively with seven kills apiece while sophomore outside hitter Lauren Schwer had five kills and nine digs.
The Eagles, who improved to 11-15 overall, took control of the match early with a dominating 15-3 first-game victory. The Saints could also find no salvation in neither games two nor three, as BC took the second set 15-4 and game three 15-6. Christina Baldwin tallied a team-high seven kills to lead the Saints, who fell to 13-13 overall with the loss.
The Eagles look to extend their winning streak to three matches when they face Notre Dame in a BIG EAST Conference match on Friday in South Bend. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
