Women's Golf Places Third At Mount Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, MASS. - This weekend, the Boston College Women's Golf team participated in the 24th Mount Holyoke Invitational held at The Orchards Country Club in South Hadley, Mass. The par 72 course, which boasts 36 beautifully crafted holes, saw 72 golfers composing 12 teams compete against each other.
Six Boston College golfers played this weekend, resulting in a strong third place team finish for the Eagles. Their total stroke count of 687 was 22 strokes short of Central Connecticut's leading 665. Roxanne Somboonsiri lead the Eagles with a 166 (82-84), placing 6th in individual competition. Taking honors as champion for the invitational was Brown's Elizabeth Carpenter, who scored a 150 (75-75).
The women's golf schedule shows the Eagles participating in the Beanpot Tournament starting October 12th.
