Volleyball Falls To Georgetown 3-0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team was defeated by Georgetown today 3-0 in a BIG EAST Conference match-up in Power Gym, snapping the Eagles' season-high winning streak at three matches. Georgetown's Anna Kleinsorge recorded 21 kills to lead all players offensively.
The Eagles, who fell to 8-14 overall and 2-4 in the BIG EAST with the loss, played the Hoyas hard throughout, as sophomore opposite Rachel Bach notcheded 12 kills and sophomore outside hitter Lauren Schwer recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs for BC. The Hoyas, who improved to 14-8 overall and 4-2 in the BIG EAST with the win, were able to hold off a strong Eagles push early in game one to take the frame 15-8. Georgetown controlled game two from start to finish, winning 15-5, but had some trouble with the Eagles in game three, as BC hung in the match until finally succumbing 15-13.
The Eagles' look to begin another winning streak on Tuesday, when they travel to Albany, N.Y., to take on the University of Albany in a non-conference matchup at 7:30 p.m.
