Kelleher Earns HOCKEY EAST Honors

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Freshman goaltender Tim Kelleher (Belmont, Mass.), who currently ranks third in the nation in goals against average, was named HOCKEY EAST Rookie of the Week for the week ending Jan. 24.
Kelleher earned the award by posting his second career shutout against Providence College on Jan. 23, stopping all 29 Friar shots in a 6-0 Boston College victory. The freshman had previously blanked Merrimack, 4-0, on Dec. 7.
Kelleher, who has a 7-3-1 record in his 11 career games, leads all HOCKEY EAST goalies in goals against average and save percentage. He currently ranks third nationally with a 1.69 goals against average, and his .931 save percentage is fifth in the nation.
