Women's Ice Hockey Shuts Out Wesleyan

Middletown, Conn. - Gen Richardson (Monroe, Conn.) scored her first collegiate goals to help BC defeat host Wesleyan University 2-0 Tuesday in Middletown, Conn. BC won its second consecutive game to improve to 4-11-1 in the season.
Freshman goaltender Heather Cohen (Concord, Mass.) registered her first complete game for the Eagles, accumulating 17 saves in the shutout.
BC center Jen Buckley (Greenwich, Conn.) assisted both of Richardson's goals which came in the first and third periods. That made the seventh consecutive game that Buckley has contributed at least one point to BC's scoring cause. She has totaled a team-high 18 points (11 goals, seven assists) to date.
Boston College outshot Wesleyan 56-17 as goaltender Emma DeSimone collected 54 saves.
The Eagles host two games this weekend. Maine comes to town Saturday (Jan. 22) for a 3 p.m. game. New Hampshire, ranked second nationally, plays BC the following day at 1 p.m.
