Crimson Defeats BC Volleyball In Three

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - - The Harvard University (4-3) women's volleyball team tied the season series at one, defeating Boston College 3-0 (15-7, 15-4, 15-11) Wednesday (Sept. 22) in Cambridge. The two teams last squared off at the New England Invitational Sept. 11 when the host Eagles won in five games.
The Crimson were led by Erin Denniston and Kristen Schaeffer, who posted 17 and 11 kills each. Setter Julie Yick accumulated 47 helpers, and Angela Lutich had 13 digs.
BC's Julia El-Hag (Bedford, N.Y./Fox Lane) added one more assist (15), than she recorded in the two teams' first contest in addition to contributing a team-high 12 digs. Lauren Schwer (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) registered 11 kills and nine digs. Kyleen Charlton (Tampa, Fla./Academy of the Holy Name) made 35 assists.
BC (5-7) returns to action Wednesday Sept. 29, hosting Northeastern. Game time is at 7 p.m.
