Volleyball Drops Two At Indiana Tournament

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College fell 3-0 to both Marshall and host Indiana University at the Indiana University Tournament held Saturday Sept. 18 in Bloomington. The Eagles entered Saturday morning's match with a three-game win streak but lost to the Thundering Herd 15-6, 15-3, 15-10. BC then went out in straight games (15-7, 15-7, 15-6) against the Hoosiers Saturday night.
For the weekend, Kristin Sprinkel (Laguna, Calif./Bishop Luers) collected 12 kills with one service ace and 2.5 blocks. Junior setter Kyleen Charlton (Tampa, Fla./Academy of the Holy Name) accumulated a two-game total of 47 assists. Sophomore Brooke Shull (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch) stroked 10 kills in the tournament while classmate Mary Fitterer (Puyallup, Wash./Fife) accumulated 16 digs this weekend.
The Eagles will travel to Harvard Wednesday (Sept. 22). Game time is 7 p.m.
