Lindgren Named Women's Golf Coach

Kristin Lindgren, an assistant golf professional at the Oysters Harbor Club in Osterville, Massachusetts, has been named head women's golf coach at Boston College, according to an announcement made by athletic director Gene DeFilippo.
"Kristin has extensive experience and management skills," said DeFilippo. "She possesses all of the qualities we were seeking in a professional to lead our women's golf program."
Lindgren has been responsible for golf operations at Oysters Harbor Club since 1998. Prior to her position at Oysters Harbor Club, Lindgren served as an assistant golf professional at Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida for three years. In addition to her responsibilities as assistant golf professional, Lindgren was the Supervisor of Outside Operations her first year at the Grand Cypress Resort. Lindgren also served as an assistant golf course designer for Ron Garl Design in Lakeland, Florida in 1996.
A 1995 graduate of Penn State University, she was a member of the golf team and served as captain for three years. Lindgren participated in the 1992 Women's National Amateur in Chicago, Illinois.
Lindgren also has extensive experience working with junior golf programs, tournaments, and camps. She has worked for the Houston Junior Golf Association, Penn State Summer Camps, and the Philadelphia Section of the PGA.
