Women's hoops stomps Seton Hall 69-49

CHESNTUT HILL, MA - No. 25 Boston College (12-1 ovreall, 4-1 in the BIG EAST) used a 22-3 second half scoring spree to run over Seton Hall 69-49. Junior guard Cal Bouchard (Aurora, Ontario) led the Eagles with 17 points as Boston College matched its season high winning streak of six games. Seton Hall fell to 4-9 overall, 1-4 in the BIG EAST.
Junior forward Alissa Murphy (San Diego, CA) added 13 points for the Eagles while sophomore guard Danielle OBanion (Arlington, VA) came off the bench and hit three three-pointers on the way to an 11 point effort.
The Eagles never trailed in the game, yet they had a tough time with the Pirates in the first half. Bouchards jump shot at the 9:08 mark gave the Eagles an 18-8 advantage, yet the Pirates still trailed by 10 with 3:30 left in the first half. A 6-0 Seton Hall spurt cut the lead to 26-22 at halftime.
In the second half, Seton Hall only trailed by five points with 12:15 left in the game. Boston College then went on a tear, scoring 22 points in nine minutes while holding the Pirates to only three points.
With the win, Boston College remained perfect at home (7-0) this season. The Eagles end their four game homestand with a 2:00 p.m. game against Georgetown.
