Chestnut Hill, MA--The Boston College volleyball team had their three-game winning streak snapped by Northeastern Wednesday night. The Huskies swept BC 15-1, 15-3, 15-10. Northeastern improved their record to 11-1, while BC fell to 6-5.
The Eagles came out flat and according to head coach Jackie Hadel it was good to get a performance like that out of the way sooner rather than later with the start of the BIG EAST schedule starting a week from Saturday versus Villanova.
The Eagles were led by sophomore outside-hitter Claire Oswalt(Austin, TX)who had seven kills and five digs in the match. Senior setter Courtney Grubb(Rockville, Centre, N.Y.) chipped in with nine digs.
Julia El-Hag ranks second in the BIG EAST with 4.04 kills per a game, while teammate Claire Oswalt ranks second in the BIG EAST in digs with 4.16 digs a game.
BC plays host to Manhattan College this Sunday. Game time is 11:00 a.m.
