"I was happy with the performance we showed this weekend. We came out and played in a dominating fashion, showing great effort and were relentless on defense," says first year head coach Jackie Hadel. Defense is what I want Boston College volleyball to be known for," Hadel adds.
BC is now 4-3 and has a great chance to eclipse last years victory total of seven matches. The Eagles travel to West Point next weekin hopes of continuing their winning ways as they will participate in the Army Tournament. Hadel's team will return to the Heights on September 27 to play Manhattan College at 11 am.
After this weekend's past tournanment an All-Tournament team was named by the coaches:
Kristin Sprinke Boston College MB Linda Jellison Harvard RS Kyleen Charleton Boston College S Claire Oswalt Boston College OH Katherine Hart Harvard MB Jess Murphy Cenn. Conn. OH
Kristen Sprinkel received more votes than any other player selected to the All-Tournament team. Sprinkel's tremendous defense forced the Eagles opponents to hit the ball away from her, which set up El-Hag for the kill. Also receiving votes for the Eagles was senior Courtney Grubb.
