Women's Golf Finishes Third at Hartford Invitational

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Boston College women's golf team finished third in a field of 10 teams at the University of Hartford Invitational at Wampanoag Country Club in West Hartford, Connecticut on April 18 and 19. Hartford turned a two stroke lead after one round of action into a 25 stroke victory. The Hawks shot a 325-312-637 to defeat Rutgers University (327-335-662). Boston College finished third, followed by Central Connecticut State University and Bucknell University.
Hartford swept the first three places, and freshman Kristy Finlayson won her third tournament of her career after shooting a 78-73-151. Sophomore Karin Fagerlund placed second with totals of 82-78-160 and junior Alyssa Munger finished third with a score of 82-81-163. Suzanne Carrazza was Boston College's top performer, finishing 13th with totals of 88-86- 174. Rounding out the Boston College competitors were Tina Haydu (T-15th, 90-89-179), Jackie Shea (19th, 95-87- 182), Meghan Donoghue (T-29th, 95-97-192), and Katie Hart (T- 31st, 93-100-193).
