Four different Boston College players scored in double figures as the Eagles defeated St. Joseph's, 72-68, on November 29 at Conte Forum. Junior Alissa Murphy led Boston College in scoring with 16 points. The backcourt tandem of freshman Brianne Stepherson and junior Cal Bouchard combined for 26 points, with each player scoring 13. Senior Paula Bacso finished the game with 10 points.
For the second consecutive game, the Eagles overcame a deficit. The two teams battled back and forth throughout the first half, with the Hawks biggest lead being 31-23 with 5:08 left in the first half. Boston College went on an 8-0 run, tying the game on a Murphy jump shot. The Eagles entered the locker room at halftime with a 39-36 advantage.
In the second half, the Eagles increased their lead to as many as seven points twice. The first time, the Hawks rallied with an 8-0 run and led with 7:46 left in the game. Boston College then went on its own run, outscoring St. Joseph's 9-0 to take a 64-58 lead with 4:37 left in the game. St. Joseph's closed the Eagles' lead to 66-64, but was never able to regain the lead. Senior Jana Lichnerova led the Hawks with 19 points, while freshman guard Susan Moran added 18 points in the loss.
