COLOGNE, Germany - The BIG EAST/Nike Women's Basketball All-Stars, led by Boston College head coach Cathy Inglese, defeated Bensberg BBC, 69-43, on June 1 and improved their record to 3-0.
Villanova's Mimi Riley led the BIG EAST All-Stars with 11 points and two rebounds. Boston College's Jamie Cournoyer scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the victory. Rutgers' Christina Fowler added 10 points and three rebounds. The BIG EAST All-Stars led Bensburg BBC, 37-27, at halftime, and extended the lead in the second half with an 11-4 run in the opening minutes. A steal and a layup by Riley gave the All-Stars a 61-37 lead with 7:37 to play.
The BIG EAST All-Stars will be play the Bonn 1st Division squad in Bonn, Germany today.
