Women's Basketball All-Stars Fall to Bonn, 95-85

BONN, Germany -- The BIG EAST/Nike Womens Basketball All-Stars, led by Boston College head coach Cathy Inglese, suffered the first defeat of this summers tour, falling to the Bonn 1st Division squad, 95-85, on June 2. The All-Stars are now 3-1 with one game remaining on the schedule.
Connecticuts Stacy Hansmeyer scored 26 points and registered nine rebounds in the loss. Hansmeyer connected on 12-of-14 attempts from the free throw line. Syracuses Jaime James netted 11 points and Rutgers Christina Fowler added 10. The All-Stars led 47-45, at halftime, but Bonn used a 14-5 run midway through the second half to pull away. Boston Colleges Jamie Cournoyer scored six points and grabbed four rebounds in the loss.
The BIG EAST All-Stars will play Marburgh BBC on Saturday, June 5, in the final game of the 1999 tour.
