Women Finish Fifth at New England Indoor Track Championships

Junior Shannon Smith (Fairport, NY) captured first place in the 3000M to lead the womens track team to a fifth place finish for the second consecutive year at the New England Indoor Track Championships at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island, February 13-14.
Boston Colleges 4x800 meter relay team which also finished first with a time of 9:28.83. The team, which was comprised of senior Megan Gayman (Manchester, NH), sophomore Lisa McIsaac (Edmonton, Alberta), and freshmen June Webers (Larchmont, NY) and Katherine Meny (West Hartford, CT), posted their best time of the season.
Other high scorers at the meet included senior Christine Wojie (second: 500M -1:17.10), and McIsaac (second: Mile-4:59.78).
The track team will travel to Syracuse, N.Y. for the BIG EAST Championships hosted by Syracuse University on February 20-21.
