Volleyball defeats Manhattan in four-game match

The Boston College volleyball team defeated Manhattan College in four games Sunday afternoon to open its five-game homestand with a victory. The Eagles took the first two games 15-8 and 17-5 before falling to the Jaspers in the third game 15-11. The Eagles bounced back to capture the fourth game 15-8 to finish the match. The win increased Boston Colleges overall record to 7-5, while Manhattan fell to 3-15. The Eagles were led by sophomore outside hitter Julia El-Hag (Bedford, NY) who tallied 22 kills. Junior outside hitter Laura DeLong (Bay Village, OH) also had an outstanding match, scoring 18 kills out of 33 touches. Boston Colleges next match will be at home against Holy Cross Wednesday, September 30. Game time is 7:00 pm
