Volleyball announces 1999 signees

Boston College volleyball head coach Jackie Hadel has announced her new signees for the 1999 season:
Rachel Bach 6'1 Rightside Jacksonville, FL
Bach went to the Bolles School and played for the Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Club. She will add height to the rightside block . A left-hander, "She will help to diversify our offense", according to Hadel.
Kim Carlson 6'1 Middle Blocker Batavia Ill.
Carlson comes to the Eagles after playing for one of the top club teams in the nation. Playing for the Sports Performance Volleyball Club, Carlsons technical training at the middle position will immediately benefit the Eagles overall performance. "Kims work ethic and enthusiasm to achieve goals are going to be a major asset for us", says Hadel.
Kathy Lavold 6'2 Middle Blocker Newport Beach, Calif.
Lavold played at Newport Harbor High School, where she also played in the Orange County Club system. A great addition to the team, Lavold decided on the Heights after several offers from other top programs across the country. A great fit for Boston College, Hadel is very excited about her potential.
Lauren Schwer 5'7 Outside Hitter Naperville, Ill.
Schwer, a teammate of Carlsons on the Sports Performance Volleyball team will immediately bring ball control to the team as well as a powerful attack. Her desire to win and "never say die" attitude will help propel Boston College volleyball to the next level.
Jackie Hadel, who will enter her second season as head coach at Boston College could not be more pleased with her first recruiting class. " These are all student-athletes that believe Boston College volleyball will became a force to be reckoned with in the BIG EAST conference", according to Hadel.
