Chestnut Hill MA-The Fairfield University Stags beat the Eagles of Boston College 3-0 ( 15-4, 15-3, 15-12)in womens volleyball action Sunday afternoon on the campus of Boston College.
Fairfield University(25-1) played extremely well with two women posting double-doubles. Sarah Lein recorded 11 kills and 11 digs while Jen McLaughlin tallied 10 kills and 12 digs.
The Stags out-hit the Eagles(10-15, 0-7) as well as out-digging BC 61-49. Boston College could only muster a hitting percentage of .044. Claire Oswalt(Austin, TX) played well for the Eagles with six kills and 16 digs. Kyleen Charlton(Tampa, FL) led the Eagles hitting the ball with three kills in nine attempts for a hitting percentage of .333
The Eagles will next play Wednesday night at 8 p.m. versus Central Connecticut at Power Gym.
